Shonen anime with female protagonist

Please recommend anime with little to no romance. Maka is cheery and bubbly but is also intelligent and strong. When she was younger her parents were killed in a spacecraft accident that nearly killed her. You know i thought there were more than a few and then i went and checked and while there are plenty of shounen shows with female protagonist co protagging with a male protagonist and a ton with female leads in a predomininately female cast girl und panzer is actually a good sports show there seem to be very few shounen shows especially shounen action battle shows. So are there action shonen with female protagonists out there that i wouldn t have heard of. She s loveable and enjoyable maka is always a blast to watch with whatever she s doing and she holds some surprising amount of depth to her character. She isn t so one dimensional and bland but constantly consistently an interesting personality to watch develop and see how she handles situations. When you write an action series for boys it can seem logical to have the protagonist be well a boy or a young man. Faye valentine is a main character from the popular futuristic bounty hunting anime series cowboy bebop. There s some excellent action in many episodes. Dour assassin as protagonist with a good amount of fighting. I m not really into tsundere characters or really annoying whiny ones. All female kickass spy team in a steampunk setting. Yet badass female characters are not an uncommon occurence and a certain anime inspired series has a very popular female protagonist. Anime such as soul eater and claymore star a woman as the leading role and maintain their quality.

I love characters like maka from soul eater lucy from fairy tail balsa from morbito mokoto from ghost in the shell etc. The 10 longest running shonen manga in weekly shonen jump in chronological order despite this many fans may not be aware of how much shonen anime have female leads or a female as the main focus of the plot and story. Although shonen anime and manga are targeted toward younger men that doesn t mean every series feature a male as the protagonist. Emma is one of the smartest children at the grace field house and it s because of her unrelenting optimism and quick thinking that helps all the children escape from the horrors that await them at the house. I didn t find the show to be amazing but i think it s the most shounen thing i ve watched with a female lead. She was introduced as a bratty boy crazed selfish and weak character in naruto and did not deserve her spot alongside the likes of naruto and sasuke who constantly shined over her. If you could recommend a good anime with a female protagonist like these ones i would. Sakura is probably the most hated female lead to ever be brought up into shonen manga.
